Mobile phones in Thailand work on the1800 frequency. Several mobile phone companies exist in Thailand. Sim cards can be purchased at many retail outlets in the city. MBK has dozens of shop selling sim cards.
Many of them have lists of special (easy to remember) numbers available with them which are sold at a premium.
The refill cards are very easily available all over the city including at all Seven Elevens, Family Marts and Jay Marts.
