Pattaya can be reached by road from Bangkok. The road journey is approximately 2 hours 30 minutes.

From The City

Limousines/Taxis

There are Many private limousine services available from the city. You can find them, small and big, spread all over the tourist areas. You can also book one through the travel desk of your hotel. Typically the fare is 1,200 to 1,500 Baht for a one way trip Bangkok-Pattaya. Many taxis will also be wiling to do the trip. The return journey is usually cheaper. You can find many taxi/limousine service booths on the streets of Pattaya, offering a fare of 800 to 1,000 Baht.

Buses

From Eastern Bus Terminal
There are airconditioned buses plying regularly from the Eastern Bus Terminal at Ekkamai. Regular services operate at half-hour intervals starting at 5.00 am and take you to the Pattaya Bus Station on North Pattaya Road.

From Northern Bus Terminal
Airconditioned Buses also ply at half-hourly intervals starting at 5.00 am from the Northern Bus Terminal (BTS Mo Chit) to the Pattaya Bus Station on North Pattaya Rdoad.

Bell Travel runs a bus service to Pattaya that picks up passengers from their respective hotels. Departure daily at 09.00 am, 11.30 am, 2.30 pm. One-way.

From Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang Airports

Limousines/Taxis

Limousines are availabe from both airports. There are many agents of different limousine operatiors waiting with signs as you emerge from customs. You can negotiate a favorable rate with one of them for the trip. You can also get regular taxis to take you to Pattaya from both airports.

Buses

There are regular bus services to Pattaya from either airport. Route 389 departs from Suvarnabhoomi at 06.30 am,08.00 am,09.00 am,11.00 am,1.00 pm,3.00 pm,5.00 pm,7.00 pm and 8.30 pm.

Bell Travel Bus Company also runs a regular service from Suvarnabhoomi Airport to Pattaya with buses leaving from Level 1 at 8.00 am,10.00 am, 12.00 noon, 2.00 pm, 4.00 pm, 6.00 pm.
The return buses from Pattaya to Suvarnabhoomi Airport are at 6.00 am, 9.00 am, 11.00 am, 1.00 pm, 3.00 pm, 5.00 pm, 7.00 pm.
