Beaches

Pattaya beach and Jomtien beach are the two main beaches of Pattaya.

Pattaya Beach

Four kilometers long, Pattaya beach faces the Pattaya bay. The beach runs from North to South in a curved shape and is straddled by a tree lined promenade and Beach Road. This is where the boats leave for the islands artound Pattaya.

The north part of the beach is very tranquil and is famous for its upmarket hotels and spas. The central and south part of the beach is much more lively with shops, department stores, boutiques, beauty salons, supermarkets, bars, discotheques, restaurants and night clubs. The south is famous for its nightlife, specially Walking Street with its discos and go-go bars.

Jomtien Beach

Located 4 KM south od Pattaya, Jomtien beach is a 6 KM long stretch of mostly a straight beach. With the brisk breeze from the Thai Gulf, this beach is very popular with windsurfers and watersports enthusiasts. The sea off the beach is less congested thatn Pattaya beachwhich also adds to the atraction. There are several hotels, banglows and condominiums along Jomtien beach.

Wong Prachan Beach

This quiet 1 KM long beach is located on the northern side of Pattaya Bay and is ideal for swimming and relaxation.
