A shopping paradise for tourists and Thais alike, it boasts of hosting the Central World Plaza (formerly World Trade Center), Central Department Store, Gaysorn Plaza and the new upmarket mall Siam Paragon where one can even shop for a Ferrari or Lamborgini at the 4th floor car dealerships.

Panthip Plaza, with its innumerable shops selling computer hardware, peripherals and software, is paradise for a computer geek. Close by is the Pratunam Market with its offering of inexpensive apparels.

The 309 metre tall Baiyoke II Tower, the tallest building in Thailand, offers a panaromic view of the city from the deck on the 77th floor.
