Safari World

About an hour's taxi ride out of Bangkok is the Safari World, a 200 acre wildlife park. It has an open zoo with animals from all over the world that roam in their natural surroundings. You can go along designated paths in your car or in Safari World's air-conditioned coaches and you will see lions, tigers, bears, giraffes, zebras and many other animals in mini-forest surroundings.

Safari World also has bird parks and a marine park where you can see many sea creatures including dolphins and seals.

There are several shows in the park featuring monkeys, dolphins, seals and even birds and although there are negative reports about the park, on the whole it is a treat for children.

There are also restaurants and game shops. THe various shows start at 10.00am and go on till 4.00pm. There are extra shows on weekends.
