Khaosan Road

With over 100 guesthouses, Khaosan Road in the Banglamphu district is a backpacker's paradise. Low budget travellers and backpackers from the world over congregate here and use it as a launchhing pad for their travels into Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam.

Popular among Thais and foreign tourists alike, it offers inexpensive restaurants and food stalls and many shops and stalls selling affordable clothing, shoes and handbags, cosmetics, souvenirs, etc. It is also a centre of silver jewellery.
